Abstract

According to the data provided by ITESP (Land Institute Foundation of the State of São Paulo), the milk production of the settlers of the State of Sao Paulo in 2010 and 2011 biennium was 71.635.36 liters, from a total of 4059 cows 71898 producers. Regarding regional production of the state, the western region (which comprises the regions of Presidente Venceslau and Presidente Epitácio) has the highest production with 47.953.445 liters. Currently, respiratory diseases are considered a serious condition in the health, leading to serious problems of economic nature photos due to morbidity and mortality, it is important to study in your flock these regions. The pneumonia is characterized by inflammatory changes in the bronchi, bronchioles and lung parenchyma being the most common respiratory problem in calves, with predisposing factors such as the erroneous handling of the environment and the wrong administration of colostrum. As determinants has become viral agents (bovine viral diarrhea virus, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus from, bovine herpesvirus, anonymous parainfluenza type 3 and bovine respiratory syncytial virus) and bacteria (Mannhemia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma mycoides). Knowing the lack of studies of dairy herds in these regions, the present study aimed to clinically evaluate the bronchopneumonia in calves settlements in the regions of Presidente Epitácio and Presidente Venceslau, correlating clinical signs with agents present in the flock. There will also be a study of samples from animals with clinical respiratory signs using pirossequenciamento 16 S rRNA gene, at Cornell University, New York State. (AU)
