Abstract

Public communication, specially science popularization, and internationalization are two of the main challenges to contemporary universities. The internet and web 2.0 interactive tools could help the higher education institutions in both of those objectives. We intend with this project to popularize the work done by the researches of the Postgraduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at Biosciences Institute of Unicamp, taking advantage of internet power to reconstruct the program's website. That website will be used as a platform to update science news related to institute's community. Besides, information about postgraduate program will be structured more clearly, making it more readily available to Brazilian and foreigner students. The electronic magazine ComCiência, coedited by Labjor and SBPC, will be used too to publicize the researches done in the program, making them to reach a wider public. (AU)
