Abstract

The development of new devices for monitoring cell metabolism and disease diagnosis expanded the research on biosensors which together with nanotechnology mainly been enable the creation of new elements with high detection sensitivity, specificity, and multiplexing capacity for use in portable devices different areas. Thus, the monitoring of products secreted by the cells via biosensors have great interest in biomedical and health areas, therefore, cells transmit a wide variety of physical and chemical signals that are critical to the clinical diagnosis. Current studies evaluating biocompatibility and cell responses to physical or chemical stimuli are evaluated in microfluidic devices and electrochemical means. The enzymatic biosensors for the recognition of glucose, lactate and hydrogen peroxide are recurent used for evaluation of different diseases, but the construction of an integrated biosensor for monitoring these compounds is a challenge. Thus, the objective of this proposal is to develop an integrated platform for monitoring biosensor for detection of multi-analytes (glucose, lactate) to a device manufactured where the cellular microenvironment can be set accurately.
