Abstract

Orthopedic diseases have high relevance in the routine of clinical-surgical attention because there has been an increase in the appearance of these clinical cases as well as racial predisposition patterns, making these races more susceptible. The English Bulldog is a chondrodystrophic race growing in population in the country, and its predisposition to orthopedic diseases is high. A kinetic study analyzing locomotion characteristics of such race will aid the comprehension of the alteration that the racial pattern presents, which often affect muscle-skeletal functions. It is justified to conduct an accurate study of the locomotion of these animals.
