Abstract

Teamwork in the healthcare field is essential for the high standard in the aid of users of healthcare services. It is a strategy employed to transform the intense process of specialization in the healthcare field and, specially, in healthcare institutions. Collective work can be understood as a possibility in which to overcome the division of labor and of distinctive knowledge acquired due to the demands in healthcare that include diverse dimensions. Teamwork represents a potential tool to favor labor practices allocated in the hospitals routines and answer in a more cohesive manner, the real demands in the field of healthcare. In this sense this project aims at identify and analyze, in both national and international literature, the scientific production related to teamwork, in hospital care from the period of 2000 to 2013.The method adopted will be the integrative review of research. The data will be collected from publication, in both Portuguese and English languages, in the LILACS, PUBMED and CINAHL databases, with the following keywords: patient care team, hospitals, health personnel. The data of interest will be recorded in an instrument constructed specifically to this purpose. The analysis will consist of the identification of articles, data collection and the synthesis of the results found. The results will provide updated information about the set of themes for the project in which this investigation is inserted.
