Abstract The aim of this research intership is study the intellective theory developed as the particularity that is articulated in De intellectibus. Our study can be summarized in three questions: (1) how intellection relates to other affections of the soul; (2) from which cognitive procedures intellection relates to things from which is engendered; (3) how the universal intellection occurs. We hope that clarity on these procedures and operations involved in intellective processes allow us to understand the benefits and difficulties that the intellectual theory proposed by Abelard can bring to his philosophy.
