Abstract

The goal of performing stage in the Research Group Cooperative, Rural Development and Solidarity Developments of the European Union and Latin America (COODRESUEL), linked to or Interuniversity Institute of Geography in the Alicante University (Spain), is to analyze public policies based on the perspective of territorial rural development and mainly family farm undertaken under the Program Relations Between Activities for the Development of Rural Economy (LEADER), conducted in Spain, with the aim of comparing their implementation and executation with the Territories of Citizenship Programme and Program to Combat Rural Poverty in Minas Gerais Brazil. These three programs seek from the perspective of local development potentiate for public participation in the execution of actions in their localities through incentives the formation of rural associations. Therefore, understanding the logic of functioning the policies in the Spanish reality, especially in the region of Alicante, allow us ample comparative analysis of the actions carried out in Brazil, both referring to the promotion of agricultural production in small stablishments and different existing infrastructure in rural áreas in the region of Alicante and municipalities of Territory Citizenship of Mucuri Valley, State of Minas Gerais.
