Abstract

This project aims to describe and justify the importance of a Research Abroad Fellowship, at the University of Turin (UNITO) under the advising of Professor Marco Scavino, during which we will broaden and complete the research on the primary and secondary sources that are required for the elaboration of our doctorate thesis. The countless journals founded by, or with which Carlo Cafiero, Errico Malatesta and Andrea Costa collaborated during the period 1871-1876, their correspondences, the police reports and the documents regarding the trials they were involved in, are a valuable material for the problematization of the objectives defined in the main research project. Thus, it will also be necessary to undergo on specific trips, both in Italy and in few European locations, in order to examine the materials that are available in other institutions. Besides that, the experience in UNITO would represent an important opportunity to achieve a fruitful academic internship, not only with the aforementioned advisor, but with colleagues and professors of that university.
