Abstract

This project analyze the heritage protection for the railway complex of the Jundiaí station, in order to identify its touristic potential and other uses to this railway heritage. Specifically, we will study the process of listing this railway complex, in order to identify how it was proposed at the Sao Paulo state level as municipal level. We intended to raise the preservation actions promoted by CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos), as well as to identifying the uses and its conservation of heritage. Finally, we will evaluate the tourist reception services in the station. In terms methodological, we will do a bibliographic research about cultural heritage and industrial tourism thems, and get more informations about the Jundiai Complex railway listing (historical characteristics, reviews by technics or Councillor of CONDEPHAAT). We will check the protection actions proposed by the CPTM about the railway buildings (by the contact with the responsibility for company's communications sector). About the identification of the current uses, states of preservation and evaluation of tourist use, we will be used a model of survey previously established.
