Abstract

The literature shows the action dose-response relationship between concentrations in CaF2 enamel, the liberation of F for the biofilm fluid and the effect of inhibition of demineralization enamel. Thus, increased formation of CaF2, it would be interesting to increase the inhibit demineralization and promote remineralization in an enamel surface demineralized. A previously conducted study showed that topical application of fluoride acidulated phosphate followed by immersion of the specimen of bovine enamel previouslydemineralized in milk increased the amount of CaF2 formed. However, it is unclear whether. This higher amount of CaF2 formed has an additional effect on the process and des remineralization. Thus, the objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of fluoride calcium formed after topical application of fluoride associated with immersion in whole milk process of de process and remineralization of enamel previously demineralized. To do so, shall be made and screened by surface hardness, seventy blocks of bovine enamel (n = 15/grupo), the dimensions of 4x4x2 mm. those blocks will be randomized into the following groups: (I) topical fluoride application (control), (II) soaking in milk, (III) soaking in milk and topical application of fluoride (IV) application of topical fluoride immersion in milk. Then they shall be submitted to artificial carious lesions, and after new measurement of surface hardness, all blocks will undergo training salivary film acquired for 2 hours in contact with a pool of human saliva for later treatment compliance relative to their group. After treatment the blocks will be subjected to pH cycling, which will be held for 3 hours in solution demineralization and the other 21 hours of the day in remineralizing solution. The hardness area shall be determined again to obtain the % PDS. Subsequently, the blocks shall be subject to review by transverse and polarized light microrradiografia. The results analysis of surface hardness, obtained as PDS% and microrradiografia transverse expressed in Az will undergo an exploratory statistical analysis, from which an appropriate test will be applied. For these analyzes, a limit will be set to significance of 5%.
