Abstract

The project proposes to develop an analysis interpretative study that focuses predominantly aesthetic and practical functions within needs of contemporary design product. More precisely, we focus on creative skills with the fundamental approaches of design are geared towards awareness and promotion of a "Sustainable Aesthetics". Thus, take into account the recent contributions about the triad inter-relationship of art-design-technology in parallel with the phenomenon, in a broad sense, of globalization. As a reference point, the analysis of research corpus focuses on the case study of the design work of Professor Stuart Walker, PhD, currently at the University of Lancaster, UK, whose primary focus is to restructuring a typology of functional design objects of sustainable manufacturing, to restructuring the object from its "unmasking". With this reference, we not only seek to contribute to the perception of aesthetic function articulation, but also with the sustainable practical function in contemporary design products. In a more comprehensive plan is intended to incorporate the design in a joint action with different social actors in order to tune the society with new systemic, holistic and ecological paradigms in the context of contemporary post-industrial society.
