Abstract

Forest residue management importance to the quimical, fisical and biologycal proprieties of soil is known. However, with the pression for residue utilization as energy source becomes necessary determine a maximum limit of its remove, and to know the effects of successive crops on these managements. The microbiologic biomass is a good pointer of this effects, because its activity is influenced by several biotic and abiotic conditions. The experiment is in Itatinga-SP and will study the influence of three different forest residue management systems (all residue, only litter and remove all residue) in the soil microbiologycal activity. The valuations will occur in winter (june) and summer (november), with the C and N values of microbiologic biomass, evolution of C-CO2, metabolic and microbial quotients. The values will be submitted to f and LSD tests, by SAS 9.1 for Windows.
