Abstract

This study aims to expand the development of the System for Registration of Tuberculosis Care (SISTB), incorporating new modules to expand the analytical capacity of the system and deploying it in the city of Ribeirão Preto. The SISTB was developed to meet the demand for health services in tracking and monitoring TB patients and their contacts by storing patient information, treatment, exams and hospitalizations, in order to facilitate the collection and systematization of data and consequently prevent loss, improve quality, viewing and handling of information. To expand its capacity, a module of information quality will be developed, consisting in the evaluation during and after the data collection in the system, checking whether they are being filled and how it is performed, generating reports where descriptive statistics will be presented, mainly showing the observed fill rates of such data. Also, a module of production indicator of actions and services will be developed, aiming to compare information between the health institutions where the system will be deployed, in order to provide health managers an overview of the performance of stocks in relation to treatments through reports. Considering the requirements analysis of the modules, there will be meetings in advance with the local health staff, the coordinator of the Municipal Program for TB Control and other professionals involved with the treatment of the disease, in order to determine the relevant variables and define the system reports. The desktop version of the system will be developed in PHP, HTML and CSS using the Apache web server and MySQL database. The mobile version will work on devices with Android operating system and the development will be in XML and JAVA programming language, with data storage in SQLite. The evaluation of the system usability will be based on Nielsen's heuristics using data collected from a questionnaire to be answered by five health professionals that work in the TB patients care. SISTB data will also be collected for the analysis of filling data, which will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. This project will be forwarded to the Ethics Committee in Research of the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto - USP. It is expected that this project will contribute to the capture, recording and better quality of data in the treatment of TB patients as well as help define strategies and decision making for health professionals and managers through the use and interaction with the proposed system and its informative reports about the treatment and performance of the health service.
