Abstract

The intention of this study is to discuss the similarity of the labour conditions in the modern society and the slavery system, and also the possibilty of establishing a relation between this phenomenon and the Social Service. Currently, this subject appears to be out of "context" due to the fact that slavery was abolished in Brazil with the signiture of Aurea Law over more than 100 years ago. Nevertheless, there are current cases of peaple living in conditions and the resurgence of characteristics that are similiar to a racial slavery regime that ocurred in Brazil in the past years. The "new" slavery or labour that presents evidence of a slave labour character is present in urban centres, this research however, focus this phenomenon in rural areas. In this regard, it will be made a bibliographic study concerning the academic production in the University of Human and Social Science, Unesp-Franca and the Annals of the Social Assistant Brazilian Congress (CBAS). In reference of UNESP-Franca, it is intended to withdraw data considering the Master's Thesis and Doctorate Thesis of the Programs of Post-Graduation of the courses of Law, History, and Social Service, wich is associated in the period of 1995-2012. In case of CBAS, the analysis and the investigation of the research that are going to be presented will be focused on the Annals of this Congress, in the edition of 2010. Therefore, it is expected that this research may contribute the studies that associates the labour conditions linked to slavery and its approach with Social Services.Key-Words: Rural Labour, Slave Labour, Degrating Labour, Exploitation of Labour, Social Service.
