Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop the ongoing research already funded by FAPESP, The formation of a secular society in Brazil: religious controversies on public education from 1927 to 1961, in a comparative approach between Brazil and England about religious and secular education. The intention is to stay 12 months in the University of Cambridge learning the full process of comparative studies in a high-standard Division of Social Anthropology. The research period will cover the process to learn how to elaborate a project according to international criteria, to improve the knowledge about comparative approach and to start an efficient comparison.
