Abstract

This study takes as its central object the transporters who worked between Pernambuco and Portugal in the second half of the eighteenth century, aiming to identify their hierarchy through loads transported. Identifying and hierarchizing this group we will know which commercial agents who commanded the transport and its possible ramifications on other economic groups both metropolitan and colonial. (AU)
