Abstract

The present project intends to complement the understanding of teacher's education in different contexts (Brazil and Spain). Conceived under the perspective of contributing with the main project "The games importance in teacher education of Geosciences" (proc. 2013/06557-7), this work intends to contextualize the education of teachers with emphasis in the use of educational cartography games . The main goal is to get closer to different models of teacher's education (initial and continuous) , trying to better understand how the construction of knowledge occurs in an educational system and teacher's training environment that differs from the Brazilian one . Furthermore, we intend to get to know the teachers and the public schools in Madrid in order to assimilate their practices. We also intend to apply our own game workshops with teacher's in training and in full exercise, enriching our ongoing data collection in Brazil. It is paramount to include the Brazilian research in this dialog and compare how the structure of teacher's education shapes in the context of different countries with their different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
