Abstract

The experiment will be installed and conducted in Matão-SP, a production area belongs to the São Martinho mill, with objective to study the interference periods of weeds in "one-eye-sets" planting system (MPB), because the case of a new planting system the interference periods should be different from previously studied. Before the experiment installation Soil samples will be taken for corrective purposes and also to survey the seed bank. Before the soil sampling will be lifting the weeds, using square of iron equal to 0,5 m side and area of 0,25m2 throwing him several times throughout the area, the plants contained within the square will be collected, identified, quantified and dried in stove this way will determine the relative density (DeR), relative frequency (FR), relative dominance (DoR) and relative importance (IR) of each specie. The planting of MPB will be held at 1.5x 0.5m spacing, each parcel shall consist of four planting rows under MPB system spacing of 1.5 m and 8 m in length and 18 m2 of useful area. The experimental design will be randomized blocks and treatments will have four replications. The treatments contain nine coexistence periods (period in the bush, or PAI) and nine control periods (period in clean, or PTPI) an additional treatment in each interference period. The parcels intended for initial living together between culture and weeds sampling will be conducted at the end of each period, the parcels destined for increasing periods of control sampling will be carried out preceding the process of harvesting the cane sugar, similarly as was done at the time of experiment installation will be calculated for each specie, DeR, FR, DoR e IR. The crop will be harvested in manual cutting system of green cane for productivity estimate will use the indirect method, weighing beams containing 10 culms, counting the number of tillers of central lines, so the values are extrapolated to tons of sugarcane per hectare, the beams will also be subjected to technological analysis. Data will be submitted to analysis of variance by F test, the averages are compared by Tukey test. To determine the interference periods (PAI, PTPI and PCPI)will be used productivity data from cane sugar. These data will be submitted to regression analysis by sigmoidal model for such determination shall be considered the values of 2.5, 5 and 10% as acceptable loss in productivity. These analyzes will use the software Origin v 8.0 (MicroCal). (AU)
