Abstract

The aim of the present project is to propose the public communication of scientific research developed in the Biomechanic and Instrumentation Laboratory (LABIN/FCA/UNICAMP). The LABIN is a section of the Center for Research in Sports Science (CEPECE), at Campinas University (UNICAMP), and it investigates the methodological aspects applying biomechanics in the sporting area, rehabilitation, ergonomics, among others. "The public communication of scientific research from the Biomechanics and Instrumentation Laboratory" pretends to help the perception of the non-specialists about the value of the sports scientific research for growth and more professionalization of the national teams, providing useful information in the sports sciences area. Furthermore, the scientific dissemination has an important role to minimize the gaps between research and practice in the field of sports and also to encourage the decisions-making and the democratization the scientific knowledge. This project will make the public communication of scientific research through the writing of news for 1) The ComCiência electronic magazine (www.comciencia.br) - which is the publication of the Laboratory of Advanced Studies in Science Journalism (LABJOR/Unicamp); 2) The college's website (www.fca.unicamp.br/portal/); 3) The Institute's Facebook fan page ((https://www.facebook.com/LABINUNICAMP?fref=ts). Eventually, it will be offered to the specialized press. (AU)
