Abstract This project has the objective of making an evaluative research of the federal program Mais Médicos (translated freely as More Doctors), based on a case study. The field for this evaluative research is the city Cubatão which concentrates a center of activities of the Program through the insertion of cooperate doctors (Cubans) Family's Health teams. The evaluation will be made with the Community Healthy Workers of the teams, in which concerns the creation of subsidies to evaluate the program. We will emphasize the evaluation of possible effects that the Program put on practice on the attributes of longitudinality and integrality from the comprehension of those involved in its development process. In a wider perspective, this work is inserted on the efforts in understand the role of governmental interventions reaching the continuous process of improvement and expansion of basic attention and the consolidation of the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) considering the union of assumptions and values that support it.
