The use of biomaterials that abet bone repair process is a field that has been explores lately, since it has been not found any biomaterial that achieve autogenous bone features. The aim of scaffolds is to hold cellular grow as well as tissue proliferation and tissue development. Recently has been developed at São Carlos (USP) a membrane of epolicraplactone fiber (PCL) that is a biodegradable polymer with a controlled degradable process, which maintain it´s structure during cell proliferation period. The aim of this research is to evaluate bone healing in critical size defect in rats, covered by PCL membrane with 5% of HA compared to porcine membrane (Bio-Guide), after 7, 15, 30, 60 days. Histological and morphometric analysis will be done to compare the potential of helping in bone repair process. Datas from histological and morphometric analysis will statistical analyzed with significance level of 5%.
