The use of membranes that help in guided bone regeneration process (ROG) is also a part of compatible biomaterial studies that help this repair process. Objective: Evaluating and comparing through microscopic and histomorphometric study the guided bone regeneration using different sources of membranes in critical defects created in rat calvaria. Materials and methods: It will be used 96 Wistar Albinus rats divided into 4 groups, with 6 animals for each group: control group only with clot; group that received membrane cortical bovine bone (Gen-Derm®); thicker bovine cortical membrane group (Gen-Derm Flex®); and collagen membrane of porcine group (Bio-Gide®). Six animals from each group will be sacrificed at the 7, 15, 30 and 60. After, it will be carried out laboratory formalities and submitted to histomorphometric analysis. (AU)
