Abstract

The constant need for development of individual and organizational competencies tied to projects of Distance Education (DE) expands the possibility of access to training, education and professional qualifications programs offered by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other organizations of productive system. There has been a great technological progress increasingly widespread throughout the field of DE. However, such technologies have not been able to prevent the occurrence of dropout. In this sense, become necessary specific, multivariate and systematic assessment models for shares tendered to the distance, able to identify the real factors that explain the high course dropouts, observed in various educational settings. Learning styles, as well as learning strategies, have proven predictors of avoidance in training in EAD. Thus, this research project aims to propose and test a model for evaluating educational activities offered at a distance, seeking to identify predictors of evasion linked to the profile of the clientele (sociodemographic data, the use of electronic tools, use of learning strategies and styles). The data collection will be through the use of questionnaires via e-mail, and respecting the ethical aspects involved. Descriptive and exploratory data analysis, analysis of key components and internal consistency will be made, as well as confirmatory factor analyzes in order to carry out verification of evidence of validity of the measuring instruments, and analysis to test the relationship between variables based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
