Abstract

Software architectures have currently had a key role in the development of software systems. In particular, reference architectures are a special type of software architecture and can be considered elements that aggregate knowledge of a particular domain, promoting reuse of this knowledge for the development, evolution, and standardization of systems of that domain. A variety of reference architectures have been designed, including those developed by the research group that has this work as part. However, it is observed there is not a mechanism that facilitates the dissemination of these architectures, including those that can also facilitate the search and selection of architectures to be used in software projects. Thus, the main objective of this work is the construction of a reference architecture repository that enables to register all artifacts that comprise the documentation of an architecture and to register external architectures that are, for example, available on web sites. In order to evaluate this repository, two case studies will be conducted, aiming at analyzing the viability of this repository. Thus, this project intends to contribute with Software Architecture community and software systems developers community that could use more systematically reference architectures.
