Abstract

Cocos nucifera, or "palma" belongs to the family Arecaceae, and is a well-know for your fruit, popularly called the green coconut. It has high economic value, because your water and pulp are widely consumed in Brazilian as a refreshing. However, your use in the high scale leads to high quantities of organic residues due to its fiber. One of the subjects of this work to try a new application to this fiber diminishing the waste. We will determine the chemical composition of this fiber and subject the isolates to biological assays.
