Abstract

This research aims to catalog, systematize and analyze Delfim Netto's intellectual production from the beginning of the 1950's to the middle of the 1980's about capitalist development in Brazil. Both the specific characters of Delfim Netto's thought and the importance of the Brazilian economic miracle for the Brazilian industrialization ought to be analyzed. One of the main concerns is to unfold the connection between theory and practice and to understand Delfim Netto's role in the choice of a path of development despite several other viable alternatives.
