Abstract

Based on the presuppositions of French semiotics, this work has as corpus short stories from contemporary Brazilian author Rubem Fonseca and intends to investigate how the figurativizations of ways of life are configured in these literary texts, object of analysis, as well as how the happenings responsible for establishing new ways of life based on the ethic of wanting and, thus, break with current enunciative praxis. In order to proceed to analysis, the research starts out from the concept of "ways of life" and achieves new developments, as the tensive semiotic elaborated by Jaques Fontanille and Claude Zilberberg. This research is justified because, under this theoretical perspective, the study of literary text also constitutes material for the analysis of Brazilian culture. Moreover, the paper intends to debate the possibility of application of the concept of "happening" into the enunciation, that is, reaching the enunciation actors and not necessarily the enunciate actors.
