Abstract

This project aims to study proposals of Roland Barthes to the teaching of literature, focusing on seminars he taught at the Ecole Pratique de Hautes Etudes in Sciences Sociales, since 1962 to 1976. For this, we propose a work on two fronts: by first we propose to study the conception of the seminars (study of working notes, interviews with former students, the institution study), on the other we propose discussion of the main texts on teaching that Roland Barthes published in his Collected Works (2002 ) and the critical fortune of these texts. The research will take place in the National Library of France and under the supervision of Eric Marty, professor at the University of Paris 7. (AU)
