Abstract

Aims to identify and analyze comparatively the set of the theoretical forms of knowledge organization and representation that the field of Knowledge Organization, in its theoretical convergence with the Information Science, has consolidated in its literature, in order to form a comprehensive repertoire of shades, parameters, structures, theoretical assumptions, most cited authors, speeches and instruments, to be made available as an theoretical bases to knowledge organization and representation approaches and for the establishment of Knowledge Organization Systems. Therefore, it refers to the methodological criteria of controlled interpretations of the variables of inference under Bardinian Content Analysis (Bardin, 2008) that, in general, are used to establish an interpretative framework based on a "phenomenological-hermeneutic approach" (MAI, 1998: 235) consistent with the structural diversity of the spectrum of forms of organization and representation of knowledge. Is adopted as the initial corpus a set of selected texts from the Knowledge Organization Literature source. (AU)
