Abstract

The protein, metallic subtract interaction is of great electrochemical /electroanalitical interest. However, a lower part of this relationship is known, what makes this methodology being more an art then a science. That's why, the present project's aim is to study the adsorption of aminoacids that are important for protein immobilization (cysteine and cystine) bias infrared region spectroscopy of a Pt surface by internal reflection, which can provide kinetic and thermodynamic information of the process. The electrooxidation of these species also are going to be investigated by this technic and by differential electrochemical mass spectrometry, for identification and characterization of oxidized species, beside the evaluation of the formation process.
