Abstract

The aim of this research is to propose an examination over different approaches of acting proceeding. I intend to analyze the 'Exercício e Linguagem Cênica Campo de Visão' and compare it with the 'Exercício e Linguagem Cênica Psicofísico' - both methods experienced and studied theorically and practically by me during my academic experience in Theatre - using the concepts of Play settled by Johan Huizinga on his book Homo Ludens, searching for a dialogue, which I believe to be pre-existent, between the concepts of Archetype and the collective unconscious from Carl G. Jung's theory. Assumpting Huizinga's definition, which says that play preceeds culture and, therefore, that Art is the play itself, I intend to search, through bibliographical and laboratorial studies, these principles written by the author; and, through the practical studies, to develop the actors technique and ability of imagination, bringing up to stage Jung's archetypical elements.
