Abstract The uncontrolled growth of aquatic weeds and algae affect the multiple uses of water. Among the management options, the use of chemical control has been studied due to its effective control, cost / benefit and long history of use in other countries. However, the viability of the use of chemical control in aquatic environments is always questioned, due to the direct use of chemicals in the water body, lack of ecotoxicological data and environmental monitoring. Therefore, the objectives of this research proposal are: to estimate the toxicity or effective 50% (LC / EC50); the percentage of mortality for biomarkers (Hyphessobrycon eques, Pomacea canaliculata, Lemna minor, Azolla caroliniana and Wolffia brasiliensis); water quality for fish thick bush (H. eques) and the snail (P. canaliculata) and clinical signs of poisoning fish of H. eques, exposed to Penoxsulam, copper oxychloride, chlorine and hydrogen peroxide, chemicals with potential herbicide and algicide. | |
