Abstract

The Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders are affected by diseases musculoskeletal injuries common in industrialized countries, and it is the occupational disease group more registered in Brazil. Musculoskeletal symptoms, mainly pain, can cause damage in performing daily activities, often causing absence from work and damaging the quality of life of workers. Current industries are extremely favorable environments for development of symptoms and musculoskeletal disorders as a result of demands physical and psychosocial dictated by the current market. This study is justified by the need to deepen investigation into the manifestation of musculoskeletal symptoms in the business industrial. And it aims to analyze the prevalence and characteristics of symptomsmusculoskeletal and pain in the production line workers and the administrative sector an industry, comparing the prevalence and characteristics of musculoskeletal symptoms and pain between groups, workers in the production line and the administrative sector an industry and characterize the sociodemographic and occupational profile of the sample studied. Methods: This descriptive correlational study, cross-sectional, using quantitative analysis. Instruments: characterization instrument sociodemographic and occupational, the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (QNSO) to assess musculoskeletal complaints and the numerical pain scale to assess intensity of pain.
