Abstract

This project is related to a submission for a six months abroad Fellowship (BPE) in the Stanford Center on Adolescence at the Stanford University School of Education (California - USA). A natural continuation of my researches since 2009, when I began my studies about the complexity of the relationship between youth purpose, values and feelings, in this project - situated at the interface between psychology and education-, we turn to the daily life of the schools and propose new possibilities and ways to educational practices that can contribute to the youth moral education, in a way that the reflections about the self and the personal and social life can culminate in the development of purpose. The period programmed at the Stanford Center on Adolescence, directed by Prof. William Damon, an international leader in research on purpose and psychological functioning, aims to promote theoretical and methodological deepening of the proposed theme, in order to prepare and develop new perspectives and models for education on ethics, citizenship and the construction of youth purpose.
