Abstract

This project aims to document the development of the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of redox process in chemistry student teachers inserted into PIBID program (introduction to teaching). As part of the project PIBID undergraduates develop teaching learning sequences for the redox content for high school and youth and adult education schools field in which they are inserted. This process assumes an epistemological analysis of redox content, the common alternative conceptions of curriculum materials, the goals of the students, the educational purposes of the content and teaching strategies so that, following the selection, adaptation and planning educational activities can happen. The classes planned will be applied in real contexts in the field schools and the whole process of planning, intervention and application will be recorded in audio and video. Data will be collected through audiovisual records, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and Content Representations (CoRes). The analysis will be based on the developing documentation of PCK from these undergraduates using the content analysis by means of the categories of Grossman base knowledge model and the categories of the Park and Oliver PCK model. This work aims to document the development of teaching knowledge of undergraduates in initial training in the context of PIBID throughout their careers as scholars. (AU)
