Abstract

The search for new execution models that are able to exploit the whole processing capacity of today's multi-core processors, which dominate the market, and future releases, that'll have even more cores, has been the target of many researches. Dataflow models reappear as good candidates to end this quest. This is the main objective of this research: to develop a data-driven execution model using x86_64 processors, that would be efficient even with a high number of cores. This project will point out advantages of these models and reasons to use them. (AU)
