Abstract

This Project BEPE-Fapesp, which is a continuation of my actual research started in January 2015, will investigate some aspects of the circulation and the productive chain of some French canards de faits divers of the 16th and 17th century. This material dimension, so to speak, of the corpus is an additional aspect to the rhetoric and epistemological aspects that I have already worked on. It seems to me strategic to consider, in addition to these poetic-narrative investigative contexts, the concrete practices of production, editorialization and circulation of the canards, especially if it is taken into account that these texts negotiate with their readers the "informational" and "journalistic" contents. These material dimensions will furnish important clues to a better comprehension of their content, as well as establish a more precise criteria of their synergy in relation to the novellas and to the histoires tragiques, a comparative investigation which I pretend to work on during the last quarter of the research.
