Abstract

The aim is to evaluate three levels of crude protein in the diet (High, Standard and Low) and effect between males and females on the broiler performance. The experiment design will be completely randomized with six treatments (three levels of crude protein and sexes) and six repetitions. 360 male and 360 female chickens are used, the Cobb 500 strain, totaling 720 birds evenly distributed in 36 experimental units, 20 birds each. Weekly body weight, weight gain, feed intake and protein intake will be registered. In animal performance in order to evaluate the responses provided by diets will also be assessed chemically body composition of a bird per experimental plot at 1, 14, 28, 35, 42 and 56 days of age. The birds will be sacrificed using CO2 and frozen. The birds will be grinded, and a sample is collected in disposable petri dish, which is weighed, frozen and freeze-dried and then perform analysis of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE) and mineral matter (MM ).
