Abstract

This study aims to relate the causes of aneurismathic degeneration of the corrective endoprothesis anchor zones on the abdominal aorta aneurism (AAA) to demographic, clinical, laboratorial and anatomic factors. Our hipothesis is that the balooning and overdimension of the measurement of the endoprothesis may speed up or even cause the degenerative process and, by doing so, compromise the eficacy of the endovascular correction. We expect that our results help supress the lack of consensus and the controversy amongst literature as much as supporting the clinical decision on the patients accordingly to their risks, and therefore widening the therapeutic choice for each case.
