Maternal Near Miss in type 1 diabetic pregnant

Abstract

A Maternal Near Miss in an event in which a pregnant woman nearly died but survived a complication that occurred during pregnancy, childbirth ou within 42 days of termination of pregnancy. It has been proved that type 1 diabetes when associated with pregnancy raises de risk of poor prognosis, particularly when the pregnancy is not planned. Studying the cases of maternal near miss in type 1 diabetes pregnancy will help to understand which factors may predict a poorer prognosis, allowing earlier intervention and prevention of those cases. Material and Methods: analyze de incidence of cases of maternal near miss in type 1 diabetes pregnant followed in the Diabetes Center at UNIFESP- EPM from 2005 to 2015. The descriptive study will be transversal retrospective, and will include of the pregnant diabetic type 1 patients followed in the university and patients admitted at Hospital Sao Paulo identified by the book of records from 2005 to 2015. The records of all of the patients will be collected in order to fill forms of "Maternal Near miss" according to the World Health Organization.
