Abstract

Studies based on different theories has the agreement about the importance of social interations between adults and children to improvement of language. The present study aims evoluate the program based on shared reading to increase the receptive and expressive vocabulary and also increase the number and durations of conversations iniciated by young children. The project was organized in three studies. The study 1 has the objective the implementation of the program by teachers in schools and the study 3, the implementation by parents at home. The Study 2 will based on the adaptation of a observacional tool to assess the comunicative interations in both contexts, school and homes. The program is based on shared reading of 18 books. The participants will be 20 preschool teachers in study 1, 20 families in study 3 and the respective children. The effectiveness of the program will be evaluate by analysis of the difference between pre and pos test performances and comparisons between control and experimental groups in studies 1 and 3. After 45 days of the end of experiment will be occur a follow up test, to verify the manutance of repertoires. The structure of intervention can be provide suplementary stimulation to development of languagem by disadvantaged pre-school children. The adaptation of observacional tool can be useful in future interventions, which has the objective of assess the comunicative interactions.
