Abstract

This project is a way to improve the aims of a doctoral project in progress, called "The Permanent Healthcare Education for taking care of family members in mental health services". This doctoral project aims to understand which conversational processes help to develop the Permanent Healthcare Education (PHE) format and the transformation of the meanings of family care practices. The present project is proposed as a research internship abroad, and it improves the analysis of the broader study, informing how social constructionist approach can help to understand PHE process. Specifically, we aim to identify, describe and analyze moments in which dialogical interactions and transformations in meanings occur. The material to be analyzed is a database of the transcripts of 2 processes of PHE developed with 2 groups of mental health professionals of 2 different public mental health services in Brazil, totalizing 12 meetings. These materials will be analyzed drawing on techniques from social constructionist perspective, which understands language in its performative character. This analysis will focus on potentials of each movement in interactions that promote dialog and, with this, transformations in meanings about practices with family members. (AU)
