Abstract Recently, Prof. Antonio Galves and colleagues have introduced a new mathematical framework demonstrating that the brain performs statistical model selections by analyzing electroencephalogram (EEG) data recorded from subjects during rhythmic sound stimuli application. In this project, based on my knowledge on the retina and visual signal processing, I aim at testing Prof. Galves theorem in visually evoked EEG as well as on electrical activity of the retina, known as electroretinogram (ERG).
