Between not yet and no more: clashes of the apprehension of the real in the contemporary theater: political responses to a no qualities time

Abstract

This research intends to analyze and redefine the practices of the called theatres of the real, such as they were coined by Maryvonne Saison, in the end of 90's decade. Denying, partly, the common argument that insists on an approach between art and life, in a friction between real and fictional elements, and starting by the questioning of the own idea of real, leaning on concepts and definitions derived of other knowledge areas, mainly the philosophy and the psychoanalysis, it is sought here a theoretical analysis where the aesthetic, political, social and ethical axes are interrelated, in a movement of complete transdisciplinarity, as defended by Guattari. Taking as base some of OPOVOEMPÉ Group's most recent works, collective active inside and out of São Paulo City eleven years ago, and does not researched and registered thoroughly in academic scope until then, the analysis proposed here takes as foundation its repertoire of research and presentations, emphasizing two of their experiments: O Espelho - uma contemplação da vida e da finitude, of its project entitled A Máquina do Tempo (ou longo agora), and A Batalha da Maria Antonia, work which is a result of the project Arqueologias do presente, presented for the first time in 2013. This way, in a constant movement of analysis of the general for the particular, of the practical appropriation of theoretical formulations and of the recognition and elaboration of a theory starting from significant elements of the scenic praxis, what can be found here is a desire to deepen two materials that still stay needy of specific unfoldings about them, in way to make possible a new analytical leap in their approach, as well as a deepening of some of their ideas, starting from the contact with other investigative surfaces.
