Abstract

Recognition of early childhood education as the first stage of basic education in Brazil brought an issue that is now at the center of discussions on young children, curriculum and school, the question concerns what to do with the baby and the young child in daycare ? What, in fact, must be present in the curriculum for infants and young children? What should be the basis of a curriculum for kindergarten? It is on this theme that this project versa. In this way it has the following objectives: Define what teaching for kindergarten in order to propose a curricular organization. To support the discussions the following references will be used: RICHER and BARBOSA, 2010; MENA and EYER, 2014; PORTUGAL, 2010; LINO, 1998; in addition to the official documents of the Brazilian education. As data collection strategies will be undertaken: bibliographical and documentary research, research-based data and observation of continuing education times of day care professionals. The expectation is that the knowledge produced through this project subsidize the training of future teachers to work in day care and the development of curricula for kindergartens of the municipalities involved.
