Abstract

In recent years, the development of nanostructured sensors and biosensors has attracted great interest from scientific community, because they are cheap alternatives for the determination of various substances. In this context, we can highlight graphene, which has interesting physicochemical properties, such as high surface area, high electrical conductivity and strong mechanical resistance. Tapioca, in turn, has a high starch value in its composition, that along which its physical characteristics makes this material an excellent candidate for the nanomaterial support function, in its polymerized form, which can be utilized in modified electrodes. In the present work, are proposed new sensors architectures, using graphene and tapioca for the determination of phenolic compounds and nitrogenous bases adenine and guanine in biological samples, in order to develop systems with low cost and high sensibility.
