Abstract

The departments stores located in the European cities possess significant differences in relation to the department's stores of Brazilian, especially in what it concerns to his paper in the urban space because of his big dimensions, luxury, monumentality and conditions for the spectacularization of the consumption. In this sense, from the election of the city of Barcelona that possesses six commercial centers El Corte Inglés, the aim of the research stage in the University of Barcelona is to comprise the form of organization, strategies of location and customer loyalty in this main network of department's stores of Spanish, of way to identify the factors that justify the similarities and differences between the network of shops studied in Brazil and the El Corte Inglés in Spain. The development of the investigation will occur in three complementary phases between himself: a theorist and methodological; another of practical order and a third of discussion and analysis of the results obtained, which will make concomitantly and of form articulated.
