This research intends to analyze the phenomenon of gentrification in two formed laboring quarters with the development of the textile industry in Brazil and the Europe. These proletarian quarters, later, considered, for the public power and real estate market, as areas degraded and from the decade of 1990 inside pass for modifications of the perspective of the reurbanization, creating other spaces of communication. In the European case with increment of the social presence and politics of the new technologies of information and communication, in the Brazilian case, breaking for the increment of the rendering of services and commerce. To reach the considered objectives we opt to the theoretical orientation to interdisciplinary in the comunicacionais studies, cultural studies, geography of the culture and social anthropology. (AU)
