Abstract

Insomnia is the most prevalent sleep disorder in worldwide. Epidemiologic studies estimates a prevalence of 30% of insomnia symptoms in adults in urban centres. Difficulty with sleep initiation and maintenance results in cognitive and functional impairment generating an important social and economic impact. This research aims to gather evidences from systematic reviews of the efficacy and the security of non-pharmacological therapies for insomnia and critically evaluate thus provide scientific evidences for a better treatment and management.
