Abstract

This research focus on the production of individuals, families and knowledge in the household and especially in the kitchens of Pinheiro, Macuco, Gravatá and Mata Dois, small neighboring communities located in Alto do Vale do Jequitinhonha- MG, which together organize themselves in one quilombola association. The most general hypothesis is that these processes do not exclude the ways these places are built as a community, establishing parallel and asymmetries, and influencing political processes in the neighborhood touting relations between communities and also in other broader political contexts. The goal is to understand the pedagogical processes that build people and family affiliations, manufactured by everyday practices and managed by the memory, inside and outside these communities. The kitchen is understood as knowledge production space and differentiations, activated by memory in multiple contexts, a domestic space that extrapolates in public space. (AU)
